More pictures, and a list

I found a legal pad the other day with the following list on it. I can only guess that I wrote it in November. It reads:

Alex is thankful for
towels
ribbons
food
drinks
stuff you eat out of, like bowls
cups
baby sisters

Pretty funny.
And now, skiing pictures from the bunny slope. Alex also braved the big-people slope with his dad. He was a champ.



And this is a cute sequence of pictures of Molly with Henry and a cute little girl named Millie. The last one of Molly just slays me.

Henry and Claudia and parents came over to visit and got everybody all riled up. That Claudia is a party gal!

Alex on Marriage

This probably won't be as funny in print as it was in the car, but here it is:

Me: Alex, you used to want to marry Molly.
Alex: Yeah, Mom, but you told me to take it outside the family.

And then from today:
Alex: I already know who I'm going to marry.
Me: Who's that? Hope?
Alex: Yeah, Hope. It was her idea.

Someday maybe pictures, but not today

Sorry, I haven't even sent the camera off yet, so check this space in a month or so if you just want to see cute kid pictures.

The radio: "...the president of Kleenex..."
Alex: "The president of Kleenex?! I don't even think Kleenex is a country."

Alex and Molly's Comic Book

Many thanks to future Uncle Fred for amusing Alex so heartily by making this comic book aka graphic novel with him. Alex dictated all the captions.

Alex also went skiing this weekend. I hope to later get some pictures up. It's a boring story, but let's just say we are cinematographically cursed and that is why there are currently no pictures.

Cousin Claudia Jane and other stuff, too

Well, niece/cousin Claudia Jane was born Feb. 1. She is very tiny and adorable! We visited her in the hospital and Josh and Alex managed to somehow together fling the camera to the floor, and now it don't work. Josh is only allowed to use disposable plastic cameras from now on. Anyway, see Miss Claudia's pictures here.


I did at least clear off the earlier pictures from the day before we went to the hospital. We had a snow day/nanny's baby sick day, and then friends Toby and Bailey came over. Here is a dialogue between Toby and Alex:
Toby: My robot can regurgitate your robot.
Alex: What does....ur-gur-ji-tate mean?
Toby: I don't know.
Alex: Mom, what does ur-gur-ji-tate mean?
Me: It means to throw up.
Alex: Oh. Hey Toby, it means your robot can throw up my robot.

Hot cocoa cheers with Toby and Bailey.

Not exactly a sled-worthy quantity of snow, but we take what we can get.

It really took them awhile to amass this much snow.

Molly just wandered about, looked cute, and refused to wear mittens.

Oh, and Alex's other news from kindergarten last week was this. "For some reason, Meg has fallen in love with me." Meg is a real cutie....if I had a camera, I'd try to sneak a picture of her. Oh well, stay tuned, for hopefully pictures of Alex skiing. Someday.
